When you’re sitting in the pub with your mates, picking your favourites of the Premier League, the one position that has to be the hardest to choose a winner for is the right-back. It is not in any way as easy as left-back, with Ashley Cole usually taking that spot, and Leighton Baines coming through [...]

I’m writing this article the day after the 2-2 draw with Everton at the Lane. A lot of people are understandably nervous, as it’s April, the month where the wheels usually come off. So why do we feel like this? What evidence is there to show it won’t happen again? Well, let’s take a trip …

“Form is temporary, class is permanent’, is an old saying, more than applicable to our very own talent, Kyle Walker. Whilst last year he won the PFA Young Player of the Year award, scored the winner in the north London derby and allegedly attracted interest from European giants Real Madrid, his performances this season have [...]

Tottenham defender Kyle Walker is a £15million transfer target for Real Madrid, according to the Sunday People.

The Spanish giants are tracking White Hart Lane star Gareth Bale in a £55million deal, but also want to take England international Walker to the Bernabeu as a replacement for right-back Alvaro Arbeloa who is set to leave the club in the summer.

Real Madrid are set for a summer of upheaval in terms of playing staff following a disappointing season in La Liga, and they want to take the 22-year-old Walker to Spain to introduce some pace into their defence.

Walker will have four years of his contract to run in the summer and would command a fee of at least the £15million mooted by the Sunday newspaper.

Tottenham and Real Madrid struck a “partnership agreement” last summer when Luka Modric completed a £33million switch from White Hart Lane to the Bernanbeu and that is set to be tested with the bid for Walker.

He could be joined in Spain by Bale, who Real Madrid are said to lead the race to sign. The Welsh international is also wanted by Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Juventus although Tottenham are hoping to fend off £55million bids by offering him a new contract worth £130,000 a-week.

Tottenham’s back 5 has looked rusty so far this season, with 12 goals already conceded in 8 Premier League matches. This weekend, another 4 goals were conceded at HOME to Chelsea and this shows there is an issue in defence – AVB needs to make a cha…
